Welcome to Women in ITAD, a dynamic, inclusive community dedicated to uplifting and connecting women in the IT Asset Disposition industry. Founded in 2024, WIITAD is more than just a community; it’s a group driving change, built by and for women who are ready to lead, inspire, and transform the future of ITAD (IT asset disposition industry). Our story began at the ITAD Summit in Miami, Florida, where a shared vision sparked a powerful movement to elevate women’s voices in the ITAD space.

Our Beginning: A Summit Sparked a Community

Women in ITAD was a session in the 2024 ITAD Summit, where an informal gathering of women industry professionals revealed a shared desire for greater connection, support, and representation within the ITAD industry. Inspired by that moment, industry leaders came together to agree on forming a Women-Only ITAD (WIITAD) group on LinkedIn.

Led by Namrata Sengupta and supported by a passionate group of volunteers, the community established its LinkedIn presence and website, creating a platform to connect women across the global ITAD ecosystem. Today, WIITAD is a thriving, volunteer-led community with more than 330 members. From compliance, certifications, and operations to marketing, logistics, and business development, women from every corner of the industry are coming together to build relationships, share knowledge, and support one another’s success.

Why WIITAD Matters?

The ITAD industry is evolving rapidly, yet women remain underrepresented across many roles and leadership positions. WIITAD exists to create opportunities for women to connect, learn, grow, and lead.

We are a volunteer-led, grassroots community driven by passionate professionals who believe in the power of collaboration, mentorship, and shared success. Together, we are working to build a more inclusive, diverse, and supportive future for the ITAD industry.

What is the WIITAD Mission?

Our mission is to empower, connect, and elevate women across the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), electronics recycling, refurbishment, and circular economy industries. Through mentorship, networking, education, and collaboration, we foster a supportive community where women can develop their skills, expand their influence, advance their careers, and lead meaningful change. Together, we are working to create a more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable future for the ITAD industry.
